European railway timetables
European train times: we've scoured the web to find the timetables of the different European countries' rail networks. We've linked to the English version of the timetable wherever possible. If the timetable is not available in English it will be stated in the notes. Clicking on the links below will open up the relevant country's railway timetable page in a new window.
European train times: Albania to France
Albania
This is the official timetable from the Albanian state railway company. This site offers a static timetable that allows you to check the train times between the stations on all their lines. *** This timetable is not in operation at the moment. The ministry of transport website for Albania does list train times but they are not so easy to find and not in English (but are easy to work out). Go to http://www.mppt.gov.al and key 'orari' into the search box (kerko).
Austria
The Austrian state railway is OBB. Their public transport timetable is called SCOTTY and includes an interactive timetable that can help you plan your journey in Austria and the whole of Europe. It also allows you to check every form of public transport throughout Austria.
Belgium
The Belgian railway is run by SNCB. This is a link to the English version of their timetable: you can check train times in Belgium and throughout Europe and buy train tickets online.
Bosnia Herzegovina
Railway map from ZFBH the Bosia Herzegovinan railway. The website is now in English, but the timetable is very limited in that you have to choose your destination from a dropdown and it just shows trains that are going there. There appear to be no options for date or time and the result only shows the arrival or departure time of the train based on your choice.
Bulgaria
Bulgarian train times courtesy of the national train company BDZ. This page also contains a map of the entire Bulgarian railway to make it easier to plan your destination. The map has now been removed but the timetable is now in Ebnglish.
Czech Republic
The official Czech Republic's railway website seems to have disappeared. In the meantime here is a link to the timetable in English. The timetable can also be used to check bus times.
Denmark
Official timetable from the Danish railway company. Website also caters for internation rail and domestic bus travel as well as train times in Denmark.
Eire
Check train and bus times throughout Ireland with the timetable from Irish Rail - IE the Irish railway company.
Estonia
The Estonian Railway timetable is now available in English. However the timetable on this page is pretty easy to work out as the railway network is not large.
France
Check train times throughout France and Europe and then book the tickets online with the SNCF. The English version of the timetable seems to have disappeared.
